Meet the team Here at Uganda Shippers Council (USC) we strive to provide you – our members with a coordinated voice in the shipping industry as and serve you to your satisfaction. We are made up of two major structures namely:

  • It provides the shippers council with direction
  • Secretariat
  • Core USC Employees It is responsible for handling the day to day activities and operations of the USC.

    These ensure the Shippers Council's success by collectively directing its affairs, while meeting the interests of its shareholders and stakeholders. In addition to business and financial issues, it addresses challenges and issues relating to governance, corporate social responsibility and corporate ethics

    Chairman - Uganda Shippers Council (USC),
    Chairman of the Uganda Freight Forwarders Association (UFFA)

    The highest appointed officer of the board; presides over board meetings and conducts its business. When the group is not in session, the officer's duties often include acting as its head, and its spokesperson.  Read more

    Board Member responsible for maintaining records of the board and ensures effective management of organization's records
    He is also sufficiently familiar with legal documents (such as: articles, by-laws) to note applicability during meetings.
    He is presently serves as an Operations Manager at Raka Agencies Ltd
    Raka Agencies Ltd a company that deals in clearing, forwarding, commission agents and general supplies especially procuring for relief agencies, amongst others.

PSFU Uganda's chief body for the private sector; whose mission is to strengthen the Ugandan private sector's capacity for effective policy advocacy and overall market competitiveness
     

    Mr. Sanya Patrick

    A member of the board by virtue of his office as the Commissioner of Transport Regulation at Ministry Of Works and Transport (MoWT); representing the Ugandan government in the USC MoWT a branch of government whose purpose is to promote an adequate, safe and well maintained public works and transport infrastructure and services so as to effectively contribute to the socio-economic development of the country
